The Owensboro Police Department responded to a firearm discharge at approximately 5:35 p.m. Thursday at the 1100 block of West 5th Street.
Officers located an occupied vehicle that had been struck one time by gunfire. However, the three individuals — two adults and one child — in the vehicle were not injured.
The Church of the Living God was also struck by three rounds but was unoccupied.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and anyone with additional information can call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
