A total of five more cases of COVID-19 and two more recoveries from the virus were reported Sunday for the Green River District. New cases were in Daviess (1), McLean (2) and Ohio (2) counties, while recoveries were in McLean (1) and Ohio (1) counties.
Of the 625 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 476 (76%) have now recovered and 75 (12%) have required hospitalization. There are 14 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 10 deaths — five in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 301 cases, 241 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 28 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths
- Hancock County – 6 cases, 6 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 104 cases, 75 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 24 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 23 cases, 19 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 149 cases, 98 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 11 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 9 cases, 8 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 33 cases, 29 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 43. To date, 55.1% of patients have been male and 44.9% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 9 cases
- 12-19 — 24 cases
- 20-29 — 110 cases
- 30-39 — 139 cases
- 40-49 — 137 cases
- 50-59 — 94 cases
- 60-69 — 61 cases
- 70-79 — 26 cases
- 80+ — 19 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
