A total of six cases of COVID-19 and 10 recoveries from the virus were reported Saturday in the Green River District. New cases were confirmed in Daviess (4) and Henderson (2) counties.
Of the 576 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 387 (67%) have now recovered and 67 (12%) have required hospitalization. There are 19 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been eight deaths — four in Daviess County, three in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 285 cases, 205 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 25 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- Hancock County – 6 cases, 6 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 95 cases, 61 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
- McLean County – 20 cases, 18 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 2 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 128 cases, 63 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 10 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 9 cases, 8 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 1 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 33 cases, 26 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 43. To date, 55.5% of patients have been male and 44.5% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 6 cases
- 12-19 — 24 cases
- 20-29 — 97 cases
- 30-39 — 127 cases
- 40-49 — 123 cases
- 50-59 — 90 cases
- 60-69 — 59 cases
- 70-79 — 25 cases
- 80+ — 19 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
