Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant has permanently closed its doors, according one of their members of management.

Manager Oscar Menjivar said it was the owner’s decision to permanently close, but Menjivar did not know the reason behind the decision.

A sign posted on the doors of Los Cabos reads “Los Cabos will be closed” and notes the owners have two other locations — Los Amigos Restaurante in Beaver Dam and Dos Copas in Madisonville.

Calls to the number listed for Los Cabos would not go through, and the owner was unable to be reached for comment. The restaurant was located at 2845 W. Parrish Ave.

On Aug. 10, 2018, the Green River District Health Department posted a Notice of Closure at Los Cabos, and the restaurant’s permit to operate was temporarily suspended for “gross infestation of roaches causing imminent public health hazard.”

The restaurant was re-inspected and given a score of 100. They reopened after three weeks.

At that time, the health department had scored Los Cabos with a C five different times since February 2016.

They have received an A on their last three health inspections, with scores of 100, 98 and 96.
