A total of 14 more cases of COVID-19 and five recoveries from the virus were confirmed Monday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (4), Henderson (2), Ohio (7) and Webster (1) counties. Recoveries were in Daviess (2), Hancock (1), Henderson (1) and Union (1) counties.
Of the 894 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 773 (86%) have now recovered and 98 (11%) have required hospitalization. There are three patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 12 deaths — seven in Daviess County, four in Henderson County, and one in McLean County.
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 417 cases, 357 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 41 ever hospitalized, 7 deaths
- Hancock County – 18 cases, 14 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 1 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 163 cases, 144 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 30 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 26 cases, 25 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 4 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 204 cases, 174 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 12 ever hospitalized
- Union County – 26 cases, 22 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 2 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 40 cases, 37 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 8 ever hospitalized
Patients range in age from 7 months-93 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 52.5% of patients have been male and 47.5% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 2 cases
- 1-11 — 18 cases
- 12-19 — 49 cases
- 20-29 — 165 cases
- 30-39 — 201 cases
- 40-49 — 191 cases
- 50-59 — 117 cases
- 60-69 — 84 cases
- 70-79 — 38 cases
- 80+ — 25 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
