The Owensboro Police Department responded to an accident at the Days Inn on New Hartford Road after a car reportedly veered off the road and crashed into a parked vehicle at approximately noon.
OPD Public Information Officer Andrew Boggess said officers believe the driver of a white Chevrolet SUV was “coming off the bypass onto New Hartford.” The SUV crashed through a fence and fell from an embankment before slamming into a parked maroon Buick Lesabre.
The impact pushed both cars into the building.
Boggess said the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital. Police believe she has minor injuries.
Boggess said what led to the collision is under investigation.
