OSO Meet the Musicians: Bonnie Farr

While the community is staying healthy at home, the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra is offering the opportunity to have an up-close and personal look at some of its talented musicians.

Meet the Musicians will be presented weekly and they will talk about their instruments and share their passion for music.

BONNIE FARR
Bonnie Farr holds the position of Oboe and English horn in the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and the Evansville Philharmonic.

She is an active freelancer who has also played with the orchestras of Louisville; Lexington; Knoxville, Tenn.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; and others throughout the midwest United States.

She has a private teaching studio at her home base in Cincinnati and is also the newly appointed Adjunct Professor of Oboe at Northern Kentucky University.

When not making music, Farr can be found teaching yoga, taking ballet class or expanding her vinyl record collection. She has taught seminars on “Yoga and Meditation for Musicians” at several national conferences and universities.

Farr earned her Bachelor’s and Masters of Music degrees at Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. She grew up in Knoxville, Tenn.
