An expansion project 14 years in the making is set to open in a few weeks. The new Latham Outpatient Therapy Facility at Wendell Foster adds 15,000 square feet to the Green Outpatient Therapy Facility.

The new building will help expand patient capacity and improve patient experience.

Annually, Wendell Foster provides speech, occupational and physical therapy to around 700 children and adults each year. While the number changes from month to month, approximately 60 clients are on a waiting list for the services.

The new space will be used primarily for physical therapy sessions. The new building has two gyms, conference rooms, a fitness room, a courtyard with a basketball court and a lactation room for mothers.

Currently, Wendell Foster’s Green Outpatient Therapy Facility consists of 21,000 square feet for outpatient rehabilitation. With the upcoming addition, Wendell Foster will have 36,000 square feet of combined therapy space.
