A total of 27 more cases of COVID-19 and 10 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District.
New cases were in Daviess (12), Hancock (1), Henderson (5), McLean (2), Ohio (4) and Union (3) counties.
Recoveries were in Daviess (5), Hancock (1), Henderson (2) and Ohio (2) counties.
Of the 1,762 total cases reported by Green River District Health Department in the seven-county district, 1,516 (86%) have now recovered and 158 (9%) have required hospitalization. There are 11 patients currently hospitalized, and there have been 23 deaths — Daviess County (8), Ohio County (9), Henderson County (4), McLean County (1), and Webster County (1).
The county totals are:
- Daviess County – 786 cases, 682 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 67 ever hospitalized, 8 deaths
- Hancock County – 46 cases, 42 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 3 ever hospitalized
- Henderson County – 354 cases, 290 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 39 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
- McLean County – 47 cases, 41 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 6 ever hospitalized, 1 death
- Ohio County – 370 cases, 330 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 27 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
- Union County – 67 cases, 54 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 3 ever hospitalized
- Webster County – 92 cases, 77 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 13 ever hospitalized, 1 death
Patients range in age from 7 months-95 years old, with an average age of 42. To date, 49.3% of patients have been male and 50.7% have been female. Cases by age range are (not all demographic information is available yet because of late and incomplete reporting from a testing site):
- <1 — 3 cases
- 1-11 — 48 cases
- 12-19 — 118 cases
- 20-29 — 343 cases
- 30-39 — 330 cases
- 40-49 — 320 cases
- 50-59 — 248 cases
- 60-69 — 181 cases
- 70-79 — 104 cases
- 80+ — 63 cases
The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
