COVID-19 update: 36 cases, 30 recoveries reported for district

A total of 36 more cases of COVID-19 and 30 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Monday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (14), Henderson (14), Ohio (2), Union (5), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (9), Hancock (1), Henderson (10), Union (9), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 2,907
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,420 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 18
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 220 (8%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 32

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,242 cases, 1,061 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 89 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Hancock County – 64 cases, 60 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 641 cases, 517 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 76 cases, 66 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 8 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 455 cases, 410 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 31 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 281 cases, 179 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 16 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Webster County – 148 cases, 127 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 3 months-100 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 47.3%
  • Female: 52.7%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 7 cases
  • 1-11 — 94 cases
  • 12-19 — 243 cases
  • 20-29 — 552 cases
  • 30-39 — 485 cases
  • 40-49 — 484 cases
  • 50-59 — 384 cases
  • 60-69 — 346 cases
  • 70-79 — 205 cases
  • 80+ — 104 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
