COVID-19 update: 40 cases, 50 recoveries reported for district

A total of 40 more cases of COVID-19 and 50 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Friday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (15), Henderson (13), Ohio (4), Union (7), Webster (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (17), Hancock (2), Henderson (14), McLean (3), Ohio (3), Union (10), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 2,551
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,186 (85%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 13
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 202 (8%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 30

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,103 cases, 990 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 84 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Hancock County – 61 cases, 55 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 555 cases, 454 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 46 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 67 cases, 60 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 438 cases, 395 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 30 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 195 cases, 119 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 14 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Webster County – 132 cases, 113 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 16 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 6 months-95 years old
  • Average age: 42
  • Male: 48%
  • Female: 52%

  • <1 — 6 cases
  • 1-11 — 84 cases
  • 12-19 — 208 cases
  • 20-29 — 494 cases
  • 30-39 — 447 cases
  • 40-49 — 439 cases
  • 50-59 — 342 cases
  • 60-69 — 292 cases
  • 70-79 — 158 cases
  • 80+ — 77 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
