COVID-19 update: 50 cases, 48 recoveries reported for district

A total of 50 more cases of COVID-19 and 48 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (14), Hancock (4), Henderson (16), McLean (1), Ohio (4), Union (9), Webster (2)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (22), Henderson (17), Ohio (2), Union (6), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 2,957
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,468 (83%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 14
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 224 (8%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 32

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,256 cases, 1,083 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 91 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Hancock County – 68 cases, 60 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 657 cases, 534 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 53 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 77 cases, 66 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 8 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 459 cases, 412 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 31 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 290 cases, 185 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 17 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Webster County – 150 cases, 128 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 19 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 3 months-100 years old
  • Average age: 43
  • Male: 47.2%
  • Female: 52.8%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 7 cases
  • 1-11 — 95 cases
  • 12-19 — 250 cases
  • 20-29 — 557 cases
  • 30-39 — 493 cases
  • 40-49 — 490 cases
  • 50-59 — 396 cases
  • 60-69 — 350 cases
  • 70-79 — 210 cases
  • 80+ — 106 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
