COVID-19 update: 52 cases, 33 recoveries reported for district

A total of 52 more cases of COVID-19 and 33 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Monday for the Green River District. The numbers reflect a two-day reporting period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (21), Henderson (15), Ohio (1), Union (11), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (5), Hancock (2), Henderson (9), McLean (3), Ohio (3), Union (9), Webster (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 2,655
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,258 (85%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 10
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 204 (8%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 30

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,145 cases, 1,011 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 86 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Hancock County – 62 cases, 57 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 588 cases, 472 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 46 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 67 cases, 63 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 440 cases, 399 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 30 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 213 cases, 139 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 14 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Webster County – 140 cases, 117 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 16 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 6 months-95 years old
  • Average age: 42
  • Male: 48%
  • Female: 52%

  • <1 — 6 cases
  • 1-11 — 85 cases
  • 12-19 — 219 cases
  • 20-29 — 513 cases
  • 30-39 — 463 cases
  • 40-49 — 454 cases
  • 50-59 — 352 cases
  • 60-69 — 306 cases
  • 70-79 — 168 cases
  • 80+ — 81 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
