COVID-19 update: 52 cases, 39 recoveries reported for district

A total of 52 more cases of COVID-19 and 39 recoveries from the virus were confirmed Saturday for the Green River District.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (21), Hancock (1), Henderson (18), Ohio (1), Union (7), Webster (4)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (16), Henderson (9), Ohio (1), Union (11), Webster (2)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 2,603
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 2,225 (85%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 11
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 203 (8%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 30

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,124 cases, 1.006 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 85 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Hancock County – 62 cases, 55 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 5 ever hospitalized
  • Henderson County – 573 cases, 463 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 46 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths
  • McLean County – 67 cases, 60 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Ohio County – 439 cases, 396 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 30 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 202 cases, 130 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 14 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Webster County – 136 cases, 115 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 16 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 6 months-95 years old
  • Average age: 42
  • Male: 48%
  • Female: 52%

  • <1 — 6 cases
  • 1-11 — 85 cases
  • 12-19 — 216 cases
  • 20-29 — 503 cases
  • 30-39 — 455 cases
  • 40-49 — 444 cases
  • 50-59 — 348 cases
  • 60-69 — 300 cases
  • 70-79 — 161 cases
  • 80+ — 81 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
