COVID-19 update: 1 death, 72 cases, 99 recoveries reported for district

A total of 72 more cases of COVID-19 and 99 recoveries were confirmed Tuesday for the Green River District. One coronavirus-related death was reported for Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (20), Hancock (6), Henderson (14), McLean (11), Ohio (10), Union (5), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (36), Henderson (31), McLean (4), Ohio (9), Union (11), Webster (8)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,594
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,760 (82%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 37
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 338 (7%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 75

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,785 cases, 1,580 recovered, 13 current hospitalizations, 127 ever hospitalized, 27 deaths
  • Hancock County – 112 cases, 87 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Henderson County – 1,200 cases, 873 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 94 ever hospitalized, 24 deaths
  • McLean County – 150 cases, 103 recovered, 3 current hospitalization2, 15 ever hospitalized, 3 deaths
  • Ohio County – 584 cases, 494 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 40 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 481 cases, 395 recovered, 3 current hospitalizations, 34 ever hospitalized, 6 deaths
  • Webster County – 282 cases, 228 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.4%
  • Female: 54.6%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 16 cases
  • 1-11 — 134 cases
  • 12-19 — 356 cases
  • 20-29 — 794 cases
  • 30-39 — 736 cases
  • 40-49 — 703 cases
  • 50-59 — 643 cases
  • 60-69 — 577 cases
  • 70-79 — 372 cases
  • 80+ — 257 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
