COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 54 cases, 60 recoveries reported for district

A total of 54 more cases of COVID-19 and 60 recoveries were confirmed Wednesday for the Green River District. One coronavirus-related death each was also reported in Henderson and Webster counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (10), Hancock (3), Henderson (24), McLean (2), Ohio (2), Union (7), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (32), Hancock (2), Henderson (9), McLean (1), Ohio (6), Union (7), Webster (3)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 4,257
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 3,389 (80%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 35
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 321 (7.5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 67

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 1,696 cases, 1,441 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 123 ever hospitalized, 24 deaths
  • Hancock County – 100 cases, 79 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 7 ever hospitalized, 1 death
  • Henderson County – 1,104 cases, 767 recovered, 11 current hospitalizations, 87 ever hospitalized, 22 deaths
  • McLean County – 116 cases, 90 recovered, 2 current hospitalization2, 13 ever hospitalized, 2 deaths
  • Ohio County – 551 cases, 462 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 38 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Union County – 435 cases, 355 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 32 ever hospitalized, 5 deaths
  • Webster County – 255 cases, 195 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 21 ever hospitalized, 4 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-100 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.5%
  • Female: 54.5%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 15 cases
  • 1-11 — 124 cases
  • 12-19 — 343 cases
  • 20-29 — 726 cases
  • 30-39 — 672 cases
  • 40-49 — 654 cases
  • 50-59 — 590 cases
  • 60-69 — 537 cases
  • 70-79 — 343 cases
  • 80+ — 248 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
