According to the Owensboro Police Department, the Glover Cary Bridge (Blue Bridge) is closed due to a wreck.
At approximately 5:37 a.m., Thursday OPD was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident with injuries at 100 KY 2262 (the Blue Bridge). The driver of the vehicle was transported to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, and no one else was in the vehicle. The Accident Reconstruction Unit responded, and the investigation is ongoing.
The bridge should reopen around 8:30 a.m.
