COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 101 cases, 37 recoveries reported for district

A total of 101 more cases of COVID-19 and 37 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 33 cases and 16 recoveries in Daviess County. Two coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Daviess County.

The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (33), Hancock (2), Henderson (24), McLean (5), Ohio (21), Union (7), Webster (9)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (16), Hancock (3), Henderson (5), McLean (1), Ohio (8), Union (3), Webster (1)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 15,882
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 11,706 (74%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 55
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 710 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 265

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 7,126 cases, 5,294 recovered, 24 current hospitalizations, 271 ever hospitalized, 120 deaths
  • Hancock County – 603 cases, 419 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,557 cases, 2,599 recovered, 12 current hospitalizations, 178 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 674 cases, 499 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,927 cases, 1,388 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 97 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Union County – 1,052 cases, 849 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 53 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 943 cases, 658 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.3%
  • Female: 54.7%

  • <1 — 64 cases
  • 1-11 — 532 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,307 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,613 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,481 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,437 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,261 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,976 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,276 cases
  • 80+ — 935 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
