COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 164 cases, 267 recoveries reported for district

A total of 164 more cases of COVID-19 and 267 recoveries were announced Monday for the Green River District, including 58 cases and 166 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Davies (1) and Webster (1) counties.

The numbers reflect a two-day period.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (58), Hancock (1), Henderson (51), McLean (3), Ohio (16), Union (11), Webster (24)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (166), Hancock (11), Henderson (42), McLean (12), Ohio (19), Union (8), Webster (9)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 14,678
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 10,636 (72%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 48
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 680 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 252

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 6,565 cases, 4,787 recovered, 26 current hospitalizations, 263 ever hospitalized, 108 deaths
  • Hancock County – 542 cases, 357 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,310 cases, 2,374 recovered, 7 current hospitalizations, 171 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 620 cases, 458 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 40 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,765 cases, 1,263 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 91 ever hospitalized, 33 deaths
  • Union County – 991 cases, 802 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 50 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 885 cases, 595 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 45 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

  • <1 — 60 cases
  • 1-11 — 462 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,194 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,414 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,299 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,250 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,101 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,841 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,181 cases
  • 80+ — 876 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
