COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 217 cases, 206 recoveries reported for district

A total of 217 more cases of COVID-19 and 206 recoveries were announced Friday for the Green River District, including 98 cases and 103 recoveries in Daviess County. Two coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Davies County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (98), Hancock (15), Henderson (43), McLean (7), Ohio (31), Union (17), Webster (6)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (103), Hancock (16), Henderson (38), McLean (8), Ohio (18), Union (10), Webster (13)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 15,565
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 11,427 (73%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 47
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 698 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 263

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 6,990 cases, 5,170 recovered, 20 current hospitalizations, 267 ever hospitalized, 118 deaths
  • Hancock County – 592 cases, 403 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,490 cases, 2,538 recovered, 9 current hospitalizations, 175 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 654 cases, 491 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 43 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,883 cases, 1,351 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 94 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Union County – 1,034 cases, 834 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 922 cases, 640 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 47 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.2%
  • Female: 54.8%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 63 cases
  • 1-11 — 509 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,276 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,557 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,445 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,395 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,210 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,940 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,250 cases
  • 80+ — 920 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
