COVID-19 update: 2 deaths, 247 cases, 84 recoveries reported for district

A total of 247 more cases of COVID-19 and 84 recoveries were announced Tuesday for the Green River District, including 120 cases and 48 recoveries in Daviess County. Coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Davies (1) and Ohio (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (120), Hancock (14), Henderson (59), McLean (6), Ohio (25), Union (11), Webster (12)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (48), Hancock (4), Henderson (12), McLean (1), Ohio (12), Union (3), Webster (4)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 14,925
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 10,720 (72%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 48
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 684 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 255

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 6,685 cases, 4,835 recovered, 25 current hospitalizations, 263 ever hospitalized, 109 deaths
  • Hancock County – 556 cases, 361 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,369 cases, 2,386 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 173 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 626 cases, 459 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 41 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,790 cases, 1,275 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 91 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Union County – 1,002 cases, 805 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 51 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 897 cases, 599 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 45 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

  • <1 — 60 cases
  • 1-11 — 477 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,217 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,455 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,340 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,287 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,131 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,872 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,200 cases
  • 80+ — 886 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
