COVID-19 update: 3 deaths, 159 cases, 336 recoveries reported for district

A total of 159 more cases of COVID-19 and 336 recoveries were announced Thursday for the Green River District, including 72 cases and 158 recoveries in Daviess County. Three coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Davies County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (72), Hancock (5), Henderson (38), McLean (5), Ohio (28), Union (4), Webster (7)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (158), Hancock (12), Henderson (77), McLean (17), Ohio (38), Union (12), Webster (22)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 15,348
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 11,221 (72%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 48
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 695 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 261

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 6,892 cases, 5,067 recovered, 21 current hospitalizations, 266 ever hospitalized, 116 deaths
  • Hancock County – 577 cases, 387 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,447 cases, 2,500 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 174 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 647 cases, 483 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 42 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,852 cases, 1,333 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 94 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Union County – 1,017 cases, 824 recovered, 6 current hospitalizations, 52 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 916 cases, 627 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 47 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

  • <1 — 62 cases
  • 1-11 — 492 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,259 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,520 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,412 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,353 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,184 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,922 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,234 cases
  • 80+ — 910 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
