COVID-19 update: 4 deaths, 264 cases, 165 recoveries reported for district

A total of 264 more cases of COVID-19 and 165 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 135 cases and 74 recoveries in Daviess County. Four coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Davies County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (135), Hancock (16), Henderson (40), McLean (16), Ohio (34), Union (11), Webster (12)
  • New recoveries by county: Davies (74), Hancock (14), Henderson (37), McLean (7), Ohio (20), Union (7), Webster (6)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 15,189
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 10,885 (72%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 48
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 689 (5%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 258

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 6,820 cases, 4,909 recovered, 24 current hospitalizations, 266 ever hospitalized, 113 deaths
  • Hancock County – 572 cases, 375 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 20 ever hospitalized, 13 deaths
  • Henderson County – 3,409 cases, 2,423 recovered, 8 current hospitalizations, 173 ever hospitalized, 52 deaths
  • McLean County – 642 cases, 466 recovered, 4 current hospitalizations, 41 ever hospitalized, 23 deaths
  • Ohio County – 1,824 cases, 1,295 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 92 ever hospitalized, 34 deaths
  • Union County – 1,013 cases, 812 recovered, 5 current hospitalizations, 51 ever hospitalized, 9 deaths
  • Webster County – 909 cases, 605 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 46 ever hospitalized, 14 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 45
  • Male: 45.1%
  • Female: 54.9%

Cases by age range are :

  • <1 — 60 cases
  • 1-11 — 484 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,243 cases
  • 20-29 — 2,501 cases
  • 30-39 — 2,380 cases
  • 40-49 — 2,325 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,170 cases
  • 60-69 — 1,900 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,219 cases
  • 80+ — 907 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
