COVID-19 update: 27 cases, 42 recoveries reported for district

A total of 27 more cases of COVID-19 and 42 recoveries were announced Wednesday for the Green River District, including 17 cases and 15 recoveries in Daviess County.

As reported by Green River District Health Department:

  • New cases by county: Daviess (17), Hancock (1), Henderson (6), McLean (2), Union (1)
  • New recoveries by county: Daviess (15), Henderson (12), McLean (5), Ohio (2), Union (8)
  • Total number of reported cases in the district: 20,789
  • Total number of reported cases now recovered: 18,663 (90%)
  • Total number of reported cases currently hospitalized: 6
  • Total number of cases that have required hospitalization: 866 (4%)
  • Total number of deaths in the district: 376

The county totals to date are:

  • Daviess County – 9,922 cases, 8,970 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 351 ever hospitalized, 174 deaths
  • Hancock County – 803 cases, 724 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 22 ever hospitalized, 16 deaths
  • Henderson County – 4,375 cases, 3,831 recovered, 1 current hospitalizations, 202 ever hospitalized, 71 deaths
  • McLean County – 840 cases, 767 recovered, 0 current hospitalizations, 48 ever hospitalized, 28 deaths
  • Ohio County – 2,438 cases, 2,204 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 123 ever hospitalized, 53 deaths
  • Union County – 1,243 cases, 1,139 recovered, 1 current hospitalization, 65 ever hospitalized, 15 deaths
  • Webster County – 1,168 cases, 1,028 recovered, 2 current hospitalizations, 55 ever hospitalized, 19 deaths

Demographics (not all demographic information is available because of incomplete reporting from a testing site):

  • Age range: 1 month-102 years old
  • Average age: 44
  • Male: 46.6%
  • Female: 53.4%

  • 1-11 — 767 cases
  • 12-19 — 1,874 cases
  • 20-29 — 3,439 cases
  • 30-39 — 3,288 cases
  • 40-49 — 3,255 cases
  • 50-59 — 2,993 cases
  • 60-69 — 2,496 cases
  • 70-79 — 1,530 cases
  • 80+ — 1,062 cases

The cases reported by GRDHD have been investigated and confirmed locally. These cases are then reported to the Kentucky Department for Public Health. This process sometimes may result in lags between state and local reporting and some discrepancies from duplicate reports.
