Green River District COVID-19 update — August 10

The Green River District Health Department reported 523 new confirmed COVID-19 cases for the district on Tuesday — with 239 in Daviess County. Five deaths were also reported, three of which were Daviess County residents. The newly reported cases were investigated between Friday and Monday.  

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 14 in Hancock, 100 in Henderson, 15 in McLean, 56 in Ohio, 49 in Union, and 50 in Webster. The other deaths were one resident each in McLean and Ohio counties.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 134.4 new cases per day. All seven counties are now areas of high transmission.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 25,369 (11,912 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 40 (14 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,022 (406 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 426 (197 for Daviess)
