Green River District COVID-19 update — August 13

The Green River District Health Department reported 616 new confirmed COVID-19 cases for the district on Friday — with 266 in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Tuesday and Thursday.  

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 18 in Hancock, 117 in Henderson, 25 in McLean, 55 in Ohio, 87 in Union, and 48 in Webster. One death was reported in Henderson County.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 161.3 new cases per day. All seven counties are now areas of high transmission.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 25,985 (12,178 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 48 (15 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,045 (412 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 427 (197 for Daviess)
