Green River District COVID-19 update — August 31

The Green River District Health Department reported 869 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 7 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday — with 380 cases and 4 deaths in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Friday and Monday.  

According to the GRDHD, 51.00% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 29 in Hancock, 192 in Henderson, 36 in McLean, 123 in Ohio, 63 in Union, and 46 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were also reported in Henderson (1), McLean (1), and Union (1) counties.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 231 new cases per day. All seven counties are now areas of high transmission.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 29,382 (13,495 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 37 (12 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,123 (446 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 452 (212 for Daviess)
