Green River District COVID-19 update — September 21

The Green River District Health Department reported 450 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 11 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday — with 186 cases and 3 deaths in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Friday and Monday.  

According to the GRDHD, 53.66% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 215 new cases per day.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 13 in Hancock, 67 in Henderson, 22 in McLean, 87 in Ohio, 40 in Union, and 35 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were reported in McLean (2), Ohio (4), and Union (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 33,264 (15,804 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 15 (5 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,184 (479 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 496 (229 for Daviess)
