Green River District COVID-19 update — September 24

The Green River District Health Department reported 391 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 8 coronavirus-related deaths on Friday — with 143 cases and 4 deaths in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Tuesday and Thursday.  

According to the GRDHD, 53.97% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 119.4 new cases per day.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 17 in Hancock, 55 in Henderson, 22 in McLean, 78 in Ohio, 33 in Union, and 43 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Henderson (1) and Ohio (3) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 33,655 (15,227 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 22 (10 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,205 (490 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 504 (233 for Daviess)
