Green River District COVID-19 update — September 3

The Green River District Health Department reported 458 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 4 coronavirus-related deaths on Friday — with 152 cases and 1 death in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Tuesday and Thursday.  

According to the GRDHD, 51.38% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 191 new cases per day. All seven counties are now areas of high transmission.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 17 in Hancock, 122 in Henderson, 22 in McLean, 75 in Ohio, 28 in Union, and 42 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were also reported in Henderson (1) and Webster (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 29,840 (13,647 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 41 (17 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,139 (453 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 456 (213 for Daviess)
