Local bands have another successful weekend

Local high school bands had another successful weekend, this time performing in contests at Warren East and Warren Central on Saturday in Bowling Green. Owensboro, Daviess County and Owensboro Catholic all competed.

Owensboro
The OHS Marching Band competed at both the Warren East and Warren Central contests. At Warren Central, they placed 3rd in Class 4A and overall. At Warren East, they placed 1st in 4A and were also Grand Champion. OHS also won both Best Colorguard and Best Visual Performance in 4A and overall, as well as Best Music and 2nd in Best Percussion overall.

Daviess County
The DCHS Band of Pride competed in the Warren Central contest. Competing in Class 4A, they won Best Percussion and earned 2nd Place in the class. They also won Best Percussion among all classes and finished the competition as Reserve Grand Champion.

Owensboro Catholic
The Marching Aces placed 1st in Class A at both the Warren East and Warren Central contests. At Warren East the band won Best Color Guard and Best Percussion in Class A. At Warren Central the band won Best Music, Best Visual, Best General Effect, Best Color Guard, Best Percussion, and Best Overall Color Guard in their class.
