Green River District COVID-19 update — October 1

The Green River District Health Department reported 395 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 4 coronavirus-related deaths on Friday — with 201 cases in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Tuesday and Thursday.  

According to the GRDHD, 54.47% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 134.0 new cases per day.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 8 in Hancock, 46 in Henderson, 17 in McLean, 78 in Ohio, 17 in Union, and 28 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were reported in McLean (1), Ohio (1), and Union (2) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 34,583 (15,670 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 18 (10 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,218 (497 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 522 (238 for Daviess)
