Green River District COVID-19 update — October 5

The Green River District Health Department reported 402 new confirmed COVID-19 infections and 5 coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday — with 182 cases and 2 deaths in Daviess County. The newly reported cases were investigated between Friday and Monday.  

According to the GRDHD, 54.85% of Daviess Countians have been vaccinated.

The current 7-day average for new cases in the seven-county Green River District is 131.7 new cases per day.

GRDHD also reported new cases in the following counties: 8 in Hancock, 105 in Henderson, 12 in McLean, 45 in Ohio, 21 in Union, and 29 in Webster. COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Henderson (1), Union (1) and Webster (1) counties.

As reported by Green River District Health Department, the seven-county district’s totals to date are:

  • Reported cases: 34,985 (15,852 for Daviess)
  • Currently hospitalized: 22 (12 for Daviess)
  • Ever hospitalized: 1,224 (500 for Daviess)
  • Deaths: 527 (240 for Daviess)
