OPD: Shots fired investigation underway after home struck Friday on Yosemite Drive

The Owensboro Police Department is investigating after a reported firearm discharge damaged a home on Yosemite Drive on Friday night.

According to OPD Public Information Officer Mark Hammonds, officers responded to the 2800 block of Yosemite Drive after receiving a report of shots fired. A police report shows the call came in at approximately 10:50 p.m. Friday night.

Hammonds said detectives located multiple shell casings in the roadway and determined a nearby residence had been struck several times by gunfire.

The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.

Detectives processed the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
