Update: 19-year-old, 1 juvenile facing additional charges for Jan. 21 firearm discharge

Updated Jan. 27 — After further investigation, Kobe Smith has additionally been charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, one count of first-degree criminal mischief, and tampering with physical evidence in this case. A juvenile female was also charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of first-degree criminal mischief.

Jan. 21 — A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a Thursday night firearm discharge where an occupied vehicle was struck multiple times by gunfire, though no one was injured. Two juveniles are also facing charges for the incident, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

Kobe Smith, of Owensboro, has been charged with unlawful transaction with a minor. The two juveniles were each charged with possession of a handgun by a minor, (first offense).

According to reports, at approximately 9:34 p.m. OPD responded to the area of East 26th Street and Strawbridge Place for the incident.
