Local colleges and universities have announced their 2022 baccalaureate and commencement plans.
Kentucky Wesleyan College
KWC’s commencement will take place at Owensboro Christian Church (2818 New Hartford Rd.) on at 10 a.m. April 30. A baccalaureate celebration will take place at 7 p.m. April 29 at the Jack T. Wells ’77 Activity Center’s Young Auditorium (3300 Frederica Street).
Brescia University
BU’s commencement ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. May 7 at the RiverPark Center (101 Daviess Street). A baccalaureate ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. May 6 at St. Stephen Cathedral (610 Locust Street).
Owensboro Community & Technical College
OCTC has scheduled two graduation events. They will take place May 11 and May 12, both at 6:30 p.m. at the RiverPark Center. The Wednesday celebration will include all graduates earning certificates, diplomas or Associate in Applied Science degrees. The Thursday event will honor the Associate in Art, Associate in Fine Arts, and Associate in Science graduates.
Western Kentucky University-Owensboro campus
Graduates may choose to attend a traditional graduation ceremony at the main Bowling Green campus. However, there will also be a graduation recognition ceremony for the WKU-Owensboro campus from 5-6 p.m. May 2 in OCTC’s Blandford Lecture Hall, located in the Humanities building on the main OCTC campus at 4800 New Hartford Road.
