The second annual Rumble on the River Catfish Tournament benefitting Friends of Sinners saw a record turnout with some record catches. The winning team’s three catfish totaled 130 pounds, and they also hauled in the largest single catch of the day with an 81.6-pound monster.

The Indiana team won with more than 700 pounds caught, while Kentucky reeled in just over 500 pounds. The winning team came from Indiana and includes Jessie Raber, Jaylen Raber, and Steven Knepp.

The tournament pitted anglers from Indiana and Kentucky against each other. The event organizers from each state agreed beforehand agreed on a “punishment” of getting a tattoo. Kentucky organizer Damian Clark thus had to get a tattoo of the state of Indiana. Clark said he was a good sport with no regret because of the event’s cause.

“We had a blast,” Clark said. “I’m not sure exactly what we raised yet, but Friends of Sinners has done so much for me, and it’s rewarding to give back to an organization that does so much.”
