A single-car accident resulted in one person dead and two others in critical condition Saturday night on Hwy 140 East, according to Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a release, DCSO was dispatched to the 2100 block of Hwy 140. They concluded the vehicle was traveling westbound when the driver lost control and the car left the runway before coming to a stop when it struck a ditch embankment.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead while the two passengers were left in critical condition.
DCSO on Sunday identified the driver as 53-year-old David Jones of Utica, and the passengers as 37-year-old Linda Reynolds of Whitesville and 35-year-old Laura Navarrete of Owensboro.
