One juvenile was arrested and detained following an early Saturday morning shooting between juveniles, the Owensboro Police Department reports.
OPD reported they responded to a call at 3:03 a.m. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital of a juvenile with a gunshot wound in his upper back. The injury is believed to be non-life-threatening.
Through investigating, OPD reported the shooting occurred allegedly after the suspect fired at least one bullet into a vehicle with 3 passengers inside.
The juvenile was arrested and transported to Warren County Regional Juvenile Detention Center on the following charges:
- Assault 1st Degree
- Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree (3 Counts)
The juvenile has previously been charged with the following:
- Possession of Handgun by Minor 1st Offense
- Burglary 1st Degree
