One person was shot Tuesday evening in the 800 block of Poindexter Street, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
The victim was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Interim OPD Public Information Officer Chris Burns said there was no status available to report on the victim’s health at the time this article was published. Burns reported that officers and deputies provided medical treatment to the person was taken to the hospital.
“It is too early to tell what the extent of those injuries are going to be,” Burns said.
The Crime Investigations Department is on scene and conducting an investigation.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
