OPD: Juvenile arrested after suspect ‘shot at bystanders’ Monday night

A juvenile has been arrested following a firearm discharge where the suspect “shot at bystanders” Monday night, according to the Owensboro Police Department.

According to a release, at approximately 8:31 p.m. Monday officers responded to the 2900 block of Strawbridge Place in reference to a firearm discharge. Investigation led officers to a nearby residence where a male juvenile suspect was detained pending further investigation. 

“Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division were called out and determined that the juvenile suspect shot at bystanders multiple times and struck an unoccupied vehicle,” according to OPD.

The juvenile was arrested and transported to Warren County Juvenile Detention Center on four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and one count of second-degree criminal mischief.
