Lilli Ruth and Kara Green both scored, and Becca Jones kept a clean sheet in the E-Gals’ 2-0 shutout win over Meade County.
“It was a really good performance against a strong Meade County team,” Apollo head coach Zach Akin said. “I thought we did all the little things right today, and we were much better in possession than in previous matches. Strong result heading back into district play this week.”
Daviess County 1, Marshall County 1
Kate McCain scored, and goalie Kaelin Labhart recorded three saves as the Lady Panthers drew with Marshall County.
Breckinridge County 2, McLean County 1
Tied 0-0 at halftime, Alma Perez scored for the Lady Cougars in the second half, but they fell just short to Breckinridge County 2-1.
“It was a hard-fought loss,” McLean County head coach Ricky Humphrey said. “Alma Perez scored for the second straight game, and our goalie, Braelyn Thomas, made some great saves. This was only her third game as a goalie. We continue to improve with each game.
