Regardless of who they were facing, the Lady Devils were triumphant on Saturday evening, going 2-0 and not even dropping a set. They beat Graves County 3-0 (25-17,25-17, 25-17), Henderson County 2-0 (25-10, 25-16), and Ohio County 2-0 (25-17, 25-16).
Addie Travis, Anna Travis, Macey Kahn, and Ayrish Barksdale led the team in kills, assists, digs, and blocks with 40, 77, 25, and 4, respectively. Anna Travis also finished with a team-high nine service aces, while Rose Larsen posted 20 kills, 23 digs, and 4 service aces.
“I thought today we came out very aggressive and full of energy,” Owensboro head coach Melissa Hibbs said. “Our defense was clicking and that allowed for our offense to follow.”
