Both the Lady Devils and Lady Aces won in dominant fashion Thursday night.
Owensboro 3, Madisonville 0
Addie Travis finished with a team-high 12 kills and 10 digs in the Lady Devils 3-0 (25-19, 25-12, 25-19) sweep over Madisonville. Ava Fincher led the team in assists with 15 and added five digs, four kills, three service aces, and one block while Ayris Barksdale recorded four service aces.
“It was a great team effort tonight,” Owensboro head coach Melissa Hibbs said. “It was good to bounce back from earlier in the week to get a win.”
Owensboro Catholic 3, Muhlenberg County 1
Jaiden Grant led the way for the Lady Aces with 16 kills, three kills, and one service ace in their 3-1 (25-22, 13-25, 25-9, 25-21) win over Muhlenberg County. Tyranda Stuart, Olivia Castlen, and Andi Davis all recorded 15 digs, while Resse Keller recorded 21 assists.
“We are headed to Lexington tomorrow and this win makes us 14-3,” Owensboro Catholic head coach said.
