The public is invited to provide feedback on the draft of the updated economic growth action plan for the Green River Area Development District (GRADD). Comments will be accepted through November 13.
GRADD’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) report examines the current economic conditions of seven counties – Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, Ohio, Union, and Webster – and serves as an action plan for continued economic growth, officials said.
The document and annual updates are required by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA).
Some of the major topics examined in the document include infrastructure, industry, and the workforce. Feedback is being accepted on GRADD’s 2024 update draft.
“The CEDS is a roadmap for economic growth in our region,” said GRADD Executive Director Joanna Shake. “It’s important that we engage the public during the update process to ensure the CEDS accurately captures where we are and where we want to be.”
The plan can be viewed online here or at the GRADD office at 300 GRADD Way in Owensboro. Physical copies are available upon request.
Questions and comments may be directed to Local Government Advisor Alex Kretzer by mail at 300 GRADD Way, Owensboro, KY 42301), by phone at 270-215-4431), or by email at [email protected].
