One person was injured and flown to a Louisville burn center following a trailer fire overnight in eastern Daviess County, according to the Daviess County Fire Department.
DCFD officials said crews were dispatched around 1:42 a.m. Tuesday to the 6800 block of Lamplite Circle after reports of visible flames coming from a residence. Yelvington and Thruston-Philpot fire departments also responded, and a second alarm was issued while units were en route. Knottsville Fire Department was dispatched shortly after.
According to DCFD, when crews arrived, they encountered heavy fire conditions throughout the trailer. Multiple hose lines were deployed to extinguish the flames, and an extensive overhaul followed to ensure the fire was fully out.
One person was injured in the fire, according to DCFD, and was initially treated and transported by AMR Owensboro before being flown to a Louisville burn center. No update on the individual’s condition was available as of early Tuesday afternoon.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
