Tied 2-2 entering the bottom of the second, the Owensboro Post 9 Bombers scored seven runs to beat Rockport Post 254 14-4. Jagger Pate, Talan Cartwright, and Logen Thomas combined for seven hits and seven RBIs, while Easton Blandford went 2-4 with an RBI. Levi Rogers started on the mound, allowing two earned runs and striking out six, while Will Rickard pitched in relief.

“Tonight our guys came out focused from the start of the game”, Owensboro Bombers head coach Matt Freeman said. “The bats were electric, and the kids were hitting the baseball all over the field. I cannot say enough about the pitching performance by Levi Rogers, who is one of the top pitchers in Western Kentucky. We play again Monday at Madisonville and hope we can continue this momentum.”
