Cinderella’s Closet of Western Kentucky will host its annual Box Lunch Fundraiser next month, offering the community a chance to enjoy a meal while supporting a cause that helps local teens attend prom with confidence.
Each lunch costs $12 and includes a choice of chicken salad or ham and cheese sandwich on a croissant, along with chips, a cherry tomato/cheese pick, an apple, and a chocolate chunk cookie.
Lunches are available by preorder only, and the deadline to order is September 12. Lunches will be available for pickup on September 23 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Entrance G of Owensboro Christian Church, 2818 New Hartford Road. Delivery is available for orders of 10 or more within Daviess County.
Order forms are available on the Cinderella’s Closet of Western Kentucky Facebook page or by email at [email protected].
All proceeds benefit Cinderella’s Closet of Western Kentucky, a nonprofit that provides formal wear to high school girls who could not otherwise afford to attend prom. Each spring, the organization helps nearly 225 girls find their “dress of their dreams” through donated gowns, accessories, and a boutique-style shopping experience, according to a release.
“Even more than a dress, we provide an unforgettable day of grace, love, and respect,” a spokesperson said in the release. “We want every young woman who walks through our doors to feel cherished and confident.”
