Owensboro Police are investigating after a residence and vehicle were struck by gunfire Friday morning in the 800 block of Hathaway Street, according to a release from the department.
Officers responded just before 8 a.m. following multiple reports of a firearm discharge. Police said multiple shell casings were found in a nearby parking lot, and evidence indicated both a home and a vehicle had been hit by several bullets.
The Owensboro Police Department’s Evidence Collection Unit assisted patrol officers in processing the scene, while detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division continued the investigation.
Police said no injuries have been reported and that the incident appears to be isolated.
