Apollo held off Webster County, while Owensboro Catholic fell at home.

Apollo 29, Webster County 26

LaShay Vera scored nine points in the second half as the E-Gals took down Webster County 29-26. Emersyn Bullington hit two threes to go along with her eight points, and Mattingly Taylor had seven points.

“It was a low scoring, close game the entire way. We made a lot of mental mistakes that we’ll work to fix,” Apollo Head Coach Mike Riggs said. “Free-throw shooting was another area of concern. The girls played hard, though, and it’s nice to win one when the shots aren’t falling. The difference in the game was rebounding, where we had a 45-27 advantage. That’s a huge positive for us, as it had been an area of focus.”

Clarksville Christian School (Clarksville), TN 62, Owensboro Catholic 43

Layla Martin and Katie Hagan both scored eight points as the Lady Aces fell to Clarksville Christian School 62-43. Taylor Mannahan hit two threes, and Sophia Newby, Isabeth Osborne, and Claudia Munsey all had five points.
